EZ Picking Wants YOU!

Are you some one who has some thing to say? Do you have a new program or service you would like to promote? Have special information you would like to share? Well consider being a contributer here on this blog! EZ Picking is quickly becoming a new avenue for lock picking and attracting many new people! These are people that would otherwise have not even known there is a lock sport! My behind the scenes efforts to promote this site on various social and web 2.0 sites is beginning to pay off. We are seeing more new people here then the usual regulars who visit all the locksport sites.

This is good news! We need new blood. But we also need contributers to keep them wanting to come back! So I invite any one in the locksport community to contribute to this blog. It can be a simple guide, a commentary, or even a shameless self promotion about your local group. Locksmiths are also welcomed. They can have an opportunity to express their concerns about sites and forums like EZ Picking who have pushed the open book policy even further.

I believe a open forum is very much needed which can provide a more balanced representation of what the locksport community really is about. The good, the bad, and the ugly! Giving each side, each opinion, each concern equal time! Uncensored! Many believe this much openness is bad for the locksport image, others believe it's the best way to really promote and educate! What do you think? Rather then sit back and be frustrated, why not get involved and be heard!?

Lock Picking On MySpace!

As some of you may know, EZ Picking has a presence on myspace to help promote this website and the hobby of lock picking.  Lock pickers have done very well on YouTube but there is still very little activity on myspace, which is a goldmine for attracting new people and a ton of traffic. Both will help promote the lock sport!

I encourage all of you to visit our page on myspace, myspace.com/ezpicker and become a member of myspace and add us as your friend! If you belong to other social sites like Friendster, Facebook, or Tagged, thats cool too! I plan on making a presence there too! I still encourage you to promote the lock sport any way you can, and what better way then to support EZ Picking? After all it is the only site and forum on the planet where any one and every one has a equal voice concerning lock picking!

There is a interesting thread in the works right now concerning the "Image of Locksport" and what should EZpicking Forum's responsibity or duties should be in regards to this.

It seems some one from another forum where the flow of information is much more "controlled" and manipulated felt very uncomfortable with ezpicking's forum where people can post just about any thing including links to torrents! Oh my!

The philosophy of of Ezpicking.com has always been not to restrict the flow of information. It's creation was in frustration to the ways other forums not only restrict information, but also manipulate information and opinions on a daily bases!

Also in question was our self proclaimed title of being the "Independent Voice" of the locksport community. A title I for one am very proud of! EZPicking.com *is* the independent voice of lock picking! Being independent we do not have to follow other organizations rules or creeds. We do not have to worry about our membership being revoked should we do some thing a special board does not approve of.

We are the independent voice because every one has a equal voice here! ANd it is the only place where any one, even you can be heard!

EZPicking.com has been growing steadily and gaining meaningful new traffic, not recycled traffic from other forums! With it's growth comes another welcome surprise, Romstar a former moderator at LP101 has now joined the ezPicking team and is a super moderator at ezpicking.com! He is known for his wealth of contributions on LP101. So it is LP101's LOSS and our GAIN! Join me in welcoming Romstar to the ezPicking Team!

The continual growth seen on ezpicking can be attributed to many factors. The open and free speech environment that is clearly a landmark here, and also users finding a worthy alternative to LP101.

I am very happy with the progress seen on ezpicking! And give you my oath I will never chip away your freedom here! And another landmark here at ezpicking, the administrators policy here (3 so far), is pretty much hands off!
